Strawberry Cookies

Strawberries are a wonder of nature. At least once every summer we go to a strawberry farm and collect these gems until we have two huge baskets full (quite a few strawberries also went straight into our mouths). There were several competitions on these trips: Who can find the biggest strawberry? Who can find the smallest, reddest or who the funniest one? Then we go home, and I preheat the oven. Because in this case, baking just has to happen. . . .

MAKES 16 COOKIES

1 ⅓ cups (170 g) flour

3 tsp baking powder

2 tsp cinnamon

½ cup (110 g) room temperature butter

⅔ cup (120 g) granulated brown sugar

1 cup (240 ml) milk

10.5 oz (300 g) strawberries, washed and diced finely
